Abstract
A method is presented for ranking and classifying the performance of irrigation systems from multi-dimensional performance indicators based on fuzzy set theory. Variable weight can be assigned to performance indicators to reflect management priorities. The method is used to evaluate the performance of the Goulburn Irrigation Region in northern Victoria employing three performance indicators, namely: irrigated area, distribution efficiency and area affected by waterlogging.
