Abstract
Impairments in attentional processes are found in most neuropsychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, depression, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease. These are obvious on clinical examination and also on cognitive and neuropsychological tests of attention and provide clues into the areas of brain disrupted in these different disorders.
