Performance prediction of a small-scale photovoltaic refrigerator

A computer program has been developed to predict the long-term performance of small-scale photovoltaic refrigeration systems (SSPVRS) having storage batteries. The method is based on radiation statistics, utilizability and monthly-average hourly cooling load. Predicted results of the computer program were compared with experimental data of an existing SSPVRS. The predicted results showed an overall error less than about 15 percent.
