Experimental study on shear strength of high-strength concrete beams

Abstract

The authors conducted a comprehensive experimental and analytical investigation to assess the concrete component of shear resistance Vc in beams made with high-strength concrete. The experimental program consisted of testing 24 beams (18 with stirrups and six without stirrups) to determine the contribution to shear resistance by the concrete component. Test data from six other investigations covering 125 specimens are also analyzed.
