Steve Trumble is Head of the Department of Medical Education, a role that includes coordinating the Melbourne Medical School's Doctor of Medicine program. A general practitioner by training, Steve began his academic career developing teaching, research and clinical services in the field of developmental disability medicine before taking leadership roles in vocational training and now entry-to-practice medical education.
He established the Melbourne Medical School's EXCITE (Excellence in Clinical Teaching) program that provides award courses for clinicians who teach. He is involved in research across the spectrum of education for the health professions.
