Dr Caitlin Barr is a lecturer in Audiology within the School of Health Sciences. Dr Barr's research focuses on the holistic management of adults with hearing impairment.

Her research interests include: optimising outcomes for adults with hearing impairment including best practice fitting of hearing aids; optimal patient-practitioner communication; implementation of evidence-based practice; and, novel models of practice including eHealth solutions; obtaining a better understanding the population needs for hearing care service delivery including working with community dwelling adults and in aged care rehabilitation settings; developing and evaluating new tools, and resources that optimise clinicians’ behaviour change and professional development; and implementing patient- and family-centred care in hearing rehabilitation.Dr Barr's research utilises a combination of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
