Franz is a senior lecturer of leadership and management at the University of Melbourne, and a senior research fellow at the Centre for Workplace Leadership. Previously Franz taught at the Kellogg School of Management, and Bocconi University.
He has worked extensively with companies across six continents and a variety of industries for the purposes of research, consulting and executive education. He has also worked with non-profit, philanthropic, and public sector organizations. He writes and consults on a range of issues related to leadership, collaboration, and implementation. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as the Organization Science, Journal of Management, and Academy of Management Annals, and in practitioner journals such as Harvard Business Review, and the Stanford Social Innovation Review. Franz is actively involved in teaching innovation and in supporting teaching excellence in management education. He has received multiple awards and grants for his courses from the University of Melbourne, Bocconi University, and from the Rotman School of Management.
