Sean is a cognitive psychologist whose research focuses on applying the cognitive science of human learning and memory towards improving instructional practice. After obtaining his Ph.D. at Washington University in St. Louis, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego, before becoming an assistant professor of education at Dartmouth College (USA).
In 2019 he took up the position of Senior Lecturer in the Science of Learning at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, University of Melbourne.
